Torpor was a very well-written book. Kraus is obviously a talented writer, and the book is peppered with thought-provoking ideas and sections, as well as well-crafted sentences. The only reason it doesn't get five stars from me is that the story is about a couple that I /5(43).

"torpor" is a beautifully written novel by a brilliant author with a fresh and authentic voice. Both Kraus' style and subject matter will appeal to a wide audience. Not enough women are familiar with Chris Kraus' writing - hopefully "torpor" will change that/5(9).
